NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Former commander of DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, Army Lt. Col. Dan Bidetti was promoted to the Army rank of Col. by Army Material Command Commanding General, Army Gen. Edward M. Daly during a ceremony at the Pentagon Library Conference Center July 6.
Bidetti was recently assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Sustainment Office, where he will serve as a military assistant for the next two years. Bidetti was born in Bronxville, New York and was raised In Harrison, New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University. His military schooling includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Services and Staff School, Joint Firepower Course, the Support Operations Officer Course, Command and General Staff Course and Airborne School.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement medal with three oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, The Iraqi Freedom Campaign Medal, The Afghan Campaign Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, the Armed Forces Services Medal and the Parachutist Badge.
