RICHMOND, Va. –
Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler has been selected to serve as the next Defense Logistics Agency Aviation commander at Richmond, Virginia. He will replace Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford, whose next assignment will be director of logistics, engineering and force protection for Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
Tyler is currently the director, logistics, engineering and force protection, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. His previous assignments include associate director, Directorate of Resource Integration, deputy chief of staff for logistics, engineering and force protection, Pentagon, Washington D.C; and commander, 633rd Air Base Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
He also previously served as executive officer to the DLA director and chief of staff, DLA Acquisition, both at DLA Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
A change of command ceremony is being planned for June.
