By Matthew Mahoney

The Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Susquehanna team came together to acknowledge the individually recognized efforts of their employees Aug. 23 and Sept. 1. Due to COVID restrictions, they were unable to gather and present employees with their awards until now.

“It’s been a long time, but it’s good to come together and celebrate the actions and contributions to our culture here at DLA Installation Management that enable us to accomplish the mission,” said Robert Montefour, DLA Installation Management Susquehanna site director.

Awards for employees dated as far back as the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020.

Employees were recognized for a wide range of contributions spanning across many different facets of the overall DLA Installation Management mission. Award recipients included employees responsible for emergency services, snow and ice removal and the many different roles of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation office.

Each in their own way, employees demonstrated dedication and capability that resulted in overall success to the mission and ongoing operations at Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna.
Because these awards are from the past two years, it meant all these employees performed their duties with outstanding service amid restrictions and limited employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To meet the overall DLA mission of warfighter always, the installation facilities and general maintenance still needed to be conducted. These award recipients all stepped up to the task and provided support that was a great reflection upon themselves, the agency and upheld the highest standards of government service.

Award recipients were Irma Gilke, Lisa Mitchell, Joshua Wakefield, Ann Marie Alberts, Charles Widmer, Blair Sheriff II, Jason Glatfelter, Jeffery Frazier, Chad Lawyer, Jesse Wenrich, Owen Kohr, Robert Imm, Jeffery Redline, Matthew Veley, Paul Esposito, Joshua Paul, Jay Tilton, Beth Desorbo and the DLA Installation Management Susquehanna Security and Emergency services team.
