NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management at Susquehanna’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Susquehanna’s fitness program closed their 2024 Commander’s Cup series with the Grand Finale Remembrance Day 10k run held Sept. 11.
The run drew out 13 participants and was the sixth and final event in the 2024 Commander’s Cup series, with prior events including a home run derby, golf chipping challenge, strength competition, basketball free throw competition and a 5k run.
The Commander’s Cup encourages eligible participants to form teams, compete in the fitness activities and accrue placement points. The team with the highest number of total points at the conclusion of the series is awarded with a place on the Commander’s Cup trophy.
At the conclusion of the Grand Finale Remembrance Day event, both Navy Capt. Andrew Henwood, commander, DLA Distribution, Susquehanna, Pennsylvania and Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna, and Robert Montefour, site director, DLA Installation Management at Susquehanna, presided over a closing ceremony.
During the closing ceremony, Henwood and Montefour awarded the DLA Installation Management at Susquehanna team as overall Commander’s Cup winner and presented trophies to the top three participants earning the most points during the series.
