May 20, 2020 - Automated supply and demand data on personal protective equipment needed in the COVID-19 response is giving Defense Department officials a unified picture of stock levels and requirements across DOD and federal agencies, said the Defense Logistics Agency’s metrics integration chief.

DLA’s IT modernization paved way for mass telework 
When the COVID-19 pandemic made mass telework a necessity for many government agencies, the Defense Logistics Agency was prepared. Over 26,000 civilian employees, contractors and service members began working from home March 17, more than doubling the agency’s routine number of teleworkers.

May 12, 2020 - Defense Logistics Agency Research and Development awarded a contract for disinfection systems that quickly sterilize personal protective equipment used by medical professionals who are in contact with COVID-19 patients.
