Pat Mackin is the Deputy Director of DLA Public Affairs. His most recent federal government positions include: Director of Corporate Communications for the Veterans Benefit Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs; Director of Public Affairs and Strategic Communication, US Africa Command; Director of Joint Training, Readiness and Exercises, US European Command; and Deputy Director of Public Affairs, US European Command. Upon retirement from the US Army as a Colonel in 2008, he served for 3 years as a management consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. He has a Master of Science degree from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans.
