New hands on the helm of critical distribution center

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — The mantle of command changed hands at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Sigonella, Italy, on May 29 as Navy Cmdr. Renae Renken relinquished command to Navy Cmdr. Aaron Smith at a ceremony presided over by Brig. Gen. Kevin L. Cotman, commanding general, DLA Distribution.

DLA hosts orientation course to strengthen nuclear mission readiness

The Defense Logistics Agency’s nuclear mission has no margin for error, and it is a mission the agency supports every day. To ensure DLA personnel understand their role in that mission, the DLA Nuclear and Space Enterprise Office hosted the Nuclear Enterprise Orientation Course May 19-20 and 21-22. The two-day classified course provided an executive-level overview of the Air Force nuclear enterprise.

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Navy Cmdr. Justin Gay assumed command of the Defense Logistics Agency Energy Indo-Pacific South-West from Navy Capt. Scott McCarthy during a change of command ceremony held May 15, 2026, at the Sunrise Conference Center on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Navy Rear Adm. George Bresnihan, DLA Energy commander, presided over the ceremony.
