Joint Reserve Force Mission and Vision
The mission of the Joint Reserve Force is to provide DLA with trained and deployment ready reservists for contingency operations and mission support to deliver responsive and flexible logistics capability and capacity. Our vision is the Joint Reserve Force is a premier joint logistics capability for DLA.
We are the Joint Reserve Force of the Defense Logistics Agency. We are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps reservists working together to support the DLA mission world-wide. We are a high-performing, customer-focused, globally responsive force. DLA prides itself in being the "source behind the force." The source includes more than 700 reservists - Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines - assigned to nearly every DLA organization across the United States, including Hawaii, and Europe.
DLA’s Joint Reserve Force is led by a two-star Reserve director with a small full-time staff of active-duty military and civilian personnel in support of reservists assigned throughout the agency. Under the director and deputy director are the divisions of J91 (joint-reserve personnel for each service branch); J93/7 (operations/training), and J95/8 (strategic plans). Also reporting to the director are joint-team leaders for DLA Energy, DLA Land and Maritime, DLA Troop Support, DLA Aviation, DLA Disposition Services and DLA Distribution. Special staff members, including a judge advocate general officer, public affairs officer, and senior enlisted leaders, also report to the JRF director.
