DLA Troop Support helps keep lunchtime going during COVID-19

DLA Troop Support — At the height of schools closing around the country due to COVID-19 in mid-March, the Defense Logistics Agency’s Subsistence supply chain added 200 schools from Illinois to a program that would help them get fresh fruits and vegetables into lunches for students and eventually the community.

DLA delivers produce for sailors aboard USS Oak Hill on hurricane relief mission

PHILADELPHIA — When acquisition professionals at the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support received an emergency order to restock the galley of a Navy ship performing hurricane-relief operations, they raced against the clock to ensure the sailors had fresh produce to fuel their efforts.

DLA Troop Support Pacific personnel oversee the delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables to the USS Theodore Roosevelt Nov. 15 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii. It was the first delivery through Troop Support Pacific’s new long-term FF&V contract.

Troop Support Pacific bolsters fresh fruits, vegetables support to Navy

PHILADELPHIA — The USS Theodore Roosevelt received a special delivery Nov. 15 when it stopped at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The aircraft carrier was resupplied with fresh fruits and vegetables through Troop Support Pacific, the first delivery through a new, long-term contract that enables better support to Navy ships.
