Airmen, Soldiers, DLA provide JTF-PO capabilities at Exercise Turbo Distribution

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center website — Airmen from the 621st Contingency Response Wing formed a Joint Task Force-Port Opening unit alongside Army and civilian partner agencies during Exercise Turbo Distribution 20-1 at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, Feb. 7-15.

New culinary outpost kiosks tested at Fort Stewart

FORT STEWART, Ga. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command website — The Army is rolling out programs to modernize aspects of lethality, including shooting, moving, communicating, training and sustaining. Part of that sustainment piece focuses on food operations by implementing Culinary Outpost Kiosks in installations, starting with a pilot program at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

DLA Troop Support partners with Army, industry to bring food kiosks to soldiers

PHILADELPHIA — Subsistence employees in Philadelphia spent the last year conducting market intelligence research, strategizing with vendors and building new catalogs to bring Army Culinary Outpost Kiosks to life.

Soldiers from the Marne Reception Center put in their lunch orders at the Outpost food truck and wait to be served. The food truck is a convenient way for soldiers to get chow on the go.

Troop Support helps Army food service go mobile

DLA Troop Support is partnering with the Army to help bring its food service into the 21st century with a pilot food truck program. The first food trucks began testing operations in February at Fort Lee, Virginia, and two more began at Fort Stewart, Georgia, in March.
