This video will clarify the necessary steps to print and apply labels and using the correct packaging, marking, and pallets for material shipped to the Defense Logistics Agency, or (DLA).

This video will show what is required to be printed on unit and intermediate packages. All material shipped to a DLA distribution center or directly to a DLA customer are required to have MIL-STD-129 identification markings. MIL-STD-129 provides detailed instructions and illustrations for the information required on each unit package, intermediate package, and exterior pack. This video will show what is required to be printed on unit and intermediate packages.

All material shipped to a DLA distribution center or directly to a DLA customer are required to have MIL-STD-129 identification markings. MIL-STD-129 provides detailed instructions and illustrations for the information required on each unit package, intermediate package, and exterior pack. This video will show what is required to be printed on unit and intermediate packages.

The video explains that material shipped to DLA is required to be packaged in accordance with Section B on the contract, which lists the Technical and Quality (TQ) Master List of Requirements and the DLA Packaging Requirements for Procurement. DLA shipments have the chance to be sent to locations all over the world, so adherence to these regulations is critical for the safe transport and storage of a wide range of material and destination storage requirements.

This video shows the correct pallet type and heat- treatment stamp to help vendors ensure they are meeting DLA’s requirements. For many reasons, DLA requires palletized material to be shipped on 4-Way Wing-Tipped pallets specified in DLA TQ Requirement RP001. DLA also has a requirement for the pallet to be heat-treated with a stamp indication such, or the shipment cannot be accepted.
