Aviation buyers use reverse auctioning to save taxpayer money
RICHMOND, VA — More than 50 people attended one of three Defense Logistics Agency Aviation reverse auctions training sessions held in the McKeever Auditorium on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, July 19. Dozens more from around the DLA Enterprise caught the training via video teleconferencing.

Oklahoma City — A Tinker Air Force Base commander moved up in the ranks at a ceremony held July 11 in the Tinker Club. Lt. Col. James Malec, commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Oklahoma, was promoted to colonel and recognized for his accomplishments.

Construction Begins on DSCR’s New East Gate
Richmond, Va. — In an effort to comply with current anti-terrorism standards, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Operations Richmond is embarking on a $6 million project to replace the East Gate. The new gate will be located near the former housing area adjacent to Jefferson Davis Highway on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The work began this month and is expected to be completed by August 2019.
