Family Advocacy and MWR Susquehanna bring awareness to Domestic Violence with Run/Walk event

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. The Family Advocacy Program and the MWR Susquehanna Sports and Fitness Department helped raise awareness of domestic violence by hosting a 5K Fun Run/1-Mile Walk here Oct. 17, at the Fitness Center.

Associates bring hope to Mission Park

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Mission Park welcomed Hope Garden as its newest memorial during a dedication event Oct. 2 kicking off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Hope Garden is a living memorial to those who have lost their lives to abuse and a symbol of the resilience of survivors.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 20 people are physically victimized by an intimate partner in the United States every minute—more than 10 million women and men each year.
