DLA, DTRA offers excess protective suits for COVID-19 with help from Marine Corps
ALBANY, Georgia — More than 40,000 protective suits earmarked for military response to chemical and biological hazards have been redirected to protect those battling COVID-19 after joint efforts by the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Marine Corps Logistics Command.
DLA Distribution San Diego providing mission essential support to national fight against COVID-19
SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Employees with the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego are providing mission essential support to the ongoing national fight against COVID-19 by providing critical supplies to the USNS MERCY currently docked at the Port of Los Angeles. The ship and its medical crew were deployed to alleviate the load on the local healthcare system by taking onboard non-COVID-19 patients.

DLA Energy maintains fuel quality with modified procedures
Quality assurance representatives at DLA Energy are modifying procedures to ensure military fuel remains on-spec during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are closely synchronizing fuel movements with suppliers, and in some cases where there is an acceptable level of risk to the supply chain, using remote oversight methods to overcome restricted travel and social distancing requirements.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A respirator lot was retrieved by DLA Disposition Services personnel from an excess property contract sales warehouse where they had been sent prior to the coronavirus outbreak.
Teamwork provides protective masks quickly
ALBANY, Georgia — Quick efforts by elements of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the Defense Logistics Agency and U.S. Transportation Command moved 154,000 N95 masks from storage at Albany, Georgia, to make them available to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services or the military in their response to COVID-19.

Aviation signs contract to certify engine part built through additive manufacturing process for airworthiness
