PaCE Spotlight: Brandon Awkerman

Brandon Awkerman is in his second year of the Pathways to Career Excellence Program and is currently located at Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services Headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan. He is in the Contracting PaCE Program, so he will not be placed at a field site location during or after his participation in the PaCE Program. Brandon’s group had a unique experience in the program as they were in their first year of the program when the pandemic began.

After nearly a month of emergency fuel support, DLA Energy Task Force Americas closed out Hurricane Ian assistance to FEMA Oct. 19. TFA personnel Chris Rogers, Air Force Maj. Timothy Truong, and Ray Juré helped coordinate fuel shipments from supply points in Virginia and Alabama to affected areas in central Florida.

Battle Creek MWR hosts Harvest Fest 2022

Battle Creek Morale, Welfare, and Recreation hosted the annual family-friendly Harvest Fest at Station 66 Oct. 26. Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center employees, retirees, and their family members enjoyed hayrides, Trunk-or-Treating, a costume contest, yard games, apple cider press demonstration and more.
