BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Leaders from Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services met for the second day of the Strategic Leadership Summit Oct. 25 in Battle Creek, Michigan, where the day’s focus was safety lessons learned and a way forward, the importance of communication in the workplace, and suicide prevention training.

PaCE Spotlight: Cameron Schuemann

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — DLA Disposition Services Project Manager Cameron Schuemann participated in the Pathways to Career Excellence Program from 2006 to 2008. During the time he participated, the program was still called the Corporate Intern Program.

Property Disposal Specialist Parry Miller guides the construction of a mobile command and control shelter at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo. Miller will serve as the disposal site lead for two weeks as a DLA Disposition Services team torches, shreds and removes broken down equipment the U.S. Army has accumulated during its peacekeeping mission there.

He is currently in Battle Creek, Michigan, at Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services Headquarters for his first year in the program and is set to move to Jacksonville, Florida, for his second year.
