Army Reserve fuelers support DLA Energy during nationwide exercise

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — Army Reserve Soldiers from 18 states participated in the Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise June 7-20 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. About 1,100 Soldiers came from as far away as Michigan and Puerto Rico and as near as North Carolina to haul fuel for the Defense Logistics Agency.

Royelle Simmons, a stock clerk at DLA Distribution Jacksonville, Fla., picks items for the warfighter. Simmons is an employee of the small business that operates the distribution center.

Distribution promotes Better Buying Power goals with effective competition

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Working to increase small business competition across its network of 24 centers around the globe, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution is supporting Better Buying Power goals through more effective use of market research.

Energy personnel support QLLEX

FORT MCCOY, Wisconsin — Defense Logistics Agency Energy personnel have deployed to multiple states in support of the Army’s annual bulk petroleum and bulk water exercise, June 7-20.

The Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock pulls alongside the U.S. flagged tanker Maersk Peary to participate in a consolidated cargo exercise, the first in more than ten years.

DLA expands refueling capability and Pacific resiliency

In support of Pacific Command warfighter requirements, Defense Logistics Agency Energy and Military Sealift Command revived a long-standing capability for delivering fuel to the fleet for the first time in more than a decade.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The program analysis master planning branch chief for Defense Logistics Agency Energy is leading the effort to implement a tablet- and desktop-based remote interpretive service for deaf employees across the agency.

May is Military Appreciation Month, and the workforce will have the opportunity to “remember” the warfighter. The workforce may take this time to show appreciation to military servicemembers, their victories and sacrifices.

U.S. Service members with the Joint Task Force 505 prepare boxes of aid and relief supplies to be loaded onto an aircraft at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal, May 14, in order for the supplies to be delivered to remote locations during Operation Sahayogi Haat. JTF 505 along with other multinational forces and humanitarian relief organizations are currently in Nepal providing aid after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country, April 25 and a 7.3 earthquake on May 12.
