NATO partner tours DLA Energy petroleum lab

Representatives from the Netherlands Ministry of Defense visited DLA Energy Europe & Africa’s Petroleum Laboratory to learn about its fuel testing capabilities, Oct. 15. Leaders toured the Rhine Ordnance Barracks facility in Germany to gain a better understanding of how aviation and ground fuels are tested for quality and purity.

Retired Army Col. Gregory D. Gadson, a bilateral above-the-knee amputee, was a guest speaker at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Oct. 16. He reminded employees that everybody has challenges – visible and invisible – and to strive to extend dignity and respect to everyone every single day.

Supporting the forces in Arctic exercise

Operating in an Arctic environment requires planning and preparation for the harsh conditions, extreme cold temperatures and often limited resources. During the 2019 Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise in the Aleutian Islands, South Central Alaska and Southern California, Sept. 15-24, fuel quality assurance and technical support were the focus for DLA Energy.
