Korea team supports Army route clearance equipment turn-in

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM — A U.S. Army rotational unit preparing to redeploy to Colorado recently completed the turn-in of route clearance vehicles and robotic systems with support from agency personnel in South Korea.

Fuel Afloat Concept Expands Operational Resiliency for Joint Petroleum Distribution

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — In today’s contested logistics environment, the Defense Logistics Agency is focused on improving the resilience and flexibility of the fuel enterprise supporting joint operations. As global demands increase, DLA Energy is demonstrating new ways to deliver fuel where and when it’s needed most.

U.S. Soldiers assigned to 837th Transportation Battalion offload containers and upload vehicles and equipment at the Busan, South Korea, port Feb. 1, 2026. With the help of U.S. Army Transportation, U.S. Transportation Command conducts Operation Turbo Fusion, which demonstrates how the military integrates multiple modes of transportation to move cargo around the globe, even in contested environments. 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, equipment and containers were offloaded while vehicles from 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, were loaded onto the ship. 2SBCT falls under the 2nd Infantry Division contingent at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, and is replacing 1SBCT, 4ID, as the new U.S. Army Korea Rotational Force that will train with the Republic of Korea Army in support of the ROK-US alliance and contribute to readiness in the Indo-Pacific region.

PHILADELPHIA — In a demonstration of joint force capability, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has partnered with U.S. Transportation Command and DLA-Transportation Command to execute Turbo Fusion 2026, a complex, multi-modal operation designed to leverage technology and test systems and procedures through multiple simultaneous transportation operations.

DLA support to USSOUTHCOM dates to the early 1960s, continues today

It may come as a surprise to learn DLA has a long history of supporting the warfighter in U.S. Southern Command. The agency doesn’t cover USSOUTHCOM with a regional command. Unlike Indo-Pacific or European commands, the area doesn’t host a peer competitor; unlike Central or Africa commands, it wasn’t a hot spot in the War on Terror. Nonetheless, military personnel have deployed to the theater throughout DLA’s 64 years.
