Ongoing interagency collaboration with DLA Police key to emergency preparedness

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Police and central Ohio law enforcement partners participated in the first of several planned collaborative walk-throughs June 22 of Defense Supply Center Columbus facilities in an effort to continue building relationships and trust to facilitate emergency preparedness.

DLA Land and Maritime celebrates Army’s 248th birthday

COLUMBUS, Ohio — In honor of the U.S. Army’s 248th birthday, Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime celebrated with a cookout and cake cutting ceremony at the Defense Supply Center Columbus Mission Park June 14.

The Army Expeditionary Civilian Workforce alongside Defense Logistics Agency senior leaders and the family of Stephen Byus officially opened the Stephen Byus Central Issue Facility Warehouse June 8 during a memorialization ceremony at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

Fallen DLA Land and Maritime logistician honored with Army memorialization

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Future Defense Department civilian deployers will now receive vital equipment — including boots and protective gear — inside a new facility at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, dedicated to fallen Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime logistician Stephen Byus.

DSCC commander honors Central Ohio fallen, calls on community to ‘invest in each other’

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Droves of Bexley families and guests crowded into Drexel Circle on Memorial Day to remember the city’s men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty and to pay tribute to the loved ones they left behind. The event, held at the community’s World War II Memorial, featured keynote speaker Army Brig. Gen. Gail Atkins, commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime and Defense Supply Center Columbus.
