New Year’s resolutions and how DLA can help you achieve your goals

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ringing in the new year often results in a time of reflection, reviewing the current situation and planning for the future. DLA takes the opportunity to look back at the year and make goals for the year ahead. As individuals, we use this time to do the same. Many of us will set personal resolutions. DSCC program honors legacy of American Indians

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Supply Center Columbus hosted an event to celebrate the heritage and legacy of American Indians in Ohio and throughout the nation. The Nov. 30 presentation inside the installation Operations Center auditorium brought together members of the Defense Federal Community to learn history, sample traditional food items, and listen to cultural ambassadors from the Native American community.

Marine Corps celebrates 241st birthday in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Military members from all services and civilians at DLA Land and Maritime recently gathered in the building 20 auditorium to celebrate the 241st birthday of the United States Marine Corps. The focal point in the Marine’s Birthday celebration is the cake cutting ceremony which symbolizes the connection between Marines past, present and future.

DLA HR director’s road show makes stop in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DLA Human Resources Director, Brad Bunn brought his human resources roadshow to Land and Maritime Nov. 4 to personally discuss several high visibility human resource issues with the Columbus workforce.

Veterans honored at annual DSCC program

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Associates honored fellow veterans during Defense Supply Center Columbus’ annual Veterans Day Program Nov. 9 inside the DLA Land and Maritime Operations Center auditorium. Mr. Alphonsa Green, the Recruiting Policy Branch Chief within the Army G-1 at the Pentagon, was the guest speaker. Green took those in attendance on a walk through the history of Veterans Day. He touched on the theme “How did we get here from there?”

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A noted expert on cultural differences at the office combined rich content with use-tomorrow tools to speak to a gathering in Columbus. Haydn Shaw spoke to associates at DLA Land and Maritime Oct. 17 about the skills needed to understand the multi-generational workforce.
