“We will certainly be feeling the loss of such a smart and capable leader as Matt,” said Perry Knight, deputy commander, DLA Distribution. “He’s done amazing work and led amazing initiatives during his time here. We couldn’t be prouder to see him continue on supporting the warfighter.”

Williams led multiple teams tasked across an array of portfolios in developing strategic level planning for five geographic combatant commands. His work, essential to the effective support of the warfighter, helped military planners in developing a comprehensive analysis of the logistics combat support that DLA can provide to a variety of different scenarios.

His leadership enabled the DLA Distribution to meet every task and continue exceptional support to the warfighter. A steady hand through an evolving landscape, Williams’ teammates experienced no turbulence in their efforts and received the highest support possible.

Williams’ dedication to duty and focus on the mission reflect great credit upon himself, DLA and the Department of Defense.
