Troop Support employee gains perspective during year at DLA Acquisition

PHILADELPHIA — The DLA Enterprise Rotational Program provides employees with a professional development opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills for the DLA mission.

DLA Troop Support senior leader speaks to Philly-area defense industry leaders

PHILADELPHIA — Air Force Col. Adrian Crowley, Industrial Hardware director, spoke to local business leaders at a National Defense Industry Association conference April 13 in Philadelphia.

Army Brig. Gen. Mark Simerly, DLA Troop Support commander, addresses his workforce during a town hall event April 5. Simerly compared his employees to the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, citing their smarts, toughness and ability to come through in the clutch.

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Mark Simerly discussed performance management, the ongoing DLA Culture and Climate Survey and the Voluntary Protection Program during a town hall April 5.

Army officer reflects on family during promotion ceremony

PHILADELPHIA — Lt. Col. Latrina Lee said family has always been a central part of her life, and that it was the accidental death of her brother when she was 19 years old that drove her to join the Army.

DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles’ culture improvement team conducted a War Games exercise to enhance communication throughout the supply chain, as a result of employees identifying streamlined communication as an area for improvement in previous culture climate survey results. The 2018 DLA culture climate survey is open until April 17. Employees are encouraged to provide insight on their experiences at DLA by completing the survey.

C&T aims to improve communication through ‘War Games’ exercise

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles’ culture improvement team conducted a War Games exercise to enhance communication throughout the supply chain. The exercise was a result of employees identifying streamlined communication as an area for improvement in previous culture climate survey results. The 2018 DLA culture climate survey is open until April 17.

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month opens at NSA Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — NSA Philadelphia employees were reminded during two events in two days that sexual assault happens, it's devastating and their organizations are dedicated to a zero tolerance policy that supports education, prevention and response efforts.

PHILADELPHIA — Two Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees were recognized for their service during a retirement ceremony March 29. Dewey Smith, an equal employment specialist, and Nereida Rivera, a hand embroidery fabric worker, retired with 43 years of combined federal service.

Troop Support provides Easter, Passover support to service members across globe

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support provides annual religious support to service members across the globe for the Easter and Passover holidays. This year, Troop Support provided more than 170,000 pounds of food, 11,000 Meals, Ready-to-Eat and 115 orders of palm, wine, Jewish ceremonial Seder kits and ashes.
