HQC employees learn how to balance home, work life

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Setting boundaries and taking at least 15 minutes of “me” time a day are among the tips employees received in a work-life balance presentation at the McNamara Headquarters Complex March 22.

DLA Disposition Services helps police raise autism awareness

Tinton Falls, New Jersey — A New Jersey police department is using a Humvee acquired through DoD's LESO program, which DLA Distribution Services administers, to raise awareness of autism among first responders and others.

DLA Troop Support Contracting Officer Matt Ligato is a Level III certified in contracting and is featured in the fifth video series highlighting DLA acquisition professionals.

Troop Support contracting officer follows Amazon model

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — A new acquisition professionals video focusing on a DLA Troop Support employee who finds acquisition solutions for his customers was released on the organization’s YouTube and Facebook sites March 23.

Ahawana Williams, Anita Elum-Mason and Ieshia Clark, all from DLA Installation Support, participate in a cycling class at the HQC Fitness Center. They are among more than 200 employees taking part in the 12-week Winter Warrior Challenge.

Winter Warrior Project teams shed pounds with proper nutrition, fitness

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — A five-member team from DLA Installation Support is one of about 45 teams participating in the 12-week Winter Warrior Project, a fitness and nutrition challenge that has attracted more participation than any other program held by the McNamara Headquarters Complex Fitness Center.

Army Pvt. Byron Brown, assigned to 520th Maintenance Company, 194th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, eats at a dining facility at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Despite South Korea’s ban on poultry items from the U.S., warfighters who eat at DFACs across the peninsula continue to eat fresh chicken, thanks to DLA Troop Support Pacific.

Troop Support Pacific ensures South Korea DFACs have fresh chicken despite poultry ban

PHILADELPHIA — Despite South Korea’s ban on poultry items from the U.S., service members who eat at dining facilities across the peninsula continue to eat fresh chicken, thanks to DLA Troop Support Pacific.

DLA supervisor shares deployment experience as resiliency lesson

RICHMOND, Virginia — A DLA Aviation supervisor recently shared her experiences from her 2015 deployment to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, where she served for six months as the DLA Support Team deputy commander.

DLA, AFRICOM extend partnership

Stuttgart, Germany — DLA and U.S. Africa Command in February signed a three-year agreement that outlines and extends DLA's support to the regional command.
