DLA Troop Support works to get Passover, Easter items to warfighters around the world

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support is making sure warfighters all over the world have the special religious items and food they need to mark the Passover and Easter holidays.

DLA flu program - ahead of the curve for 2021

PHILADELPHIA — With the annual flu season coming to a successful close, the Defense Logistics Agency is prepared to safeguard the Department of Defense sooner than ever. In late February, DLA Troop Support Medical’s supply chain awarded a contract for 3.3 million doses of the flu vaccine, valued at $44.7 million in preparation for the 2021 flu season.

PHILADELPHIA — April is known as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. While most of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support workforce is working remotely, there will be a number of virtual events throughout the month for people to come together and support this cause.

Incoming DLA Europe and Africa Commander, Deputy Commander visit Troop Support

Philadelphia — The inbound commander and deputy commander of Defense Logistics Agency Europe and Africa paid their first visit to Troop Support in Philadelphia on 18 March.

Award-winning support recognized by government procurement coalition

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency’s Troop Support's Medical Directorate’s Strategic Materiel Sourcing Group and Construction and Equipment employee Meghan Michalski earned the Coalition for Government Procurement’s Acquisition Excellence Awards for Government, according to the group’s announcement February 26.

DLA Troop Support bids farewell to retiring civilian employee

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support said goodbye to its most recent civilian retiree during a ceremony Feb. 25 in Philadelphia. Pama Hamlett of the Subsistence supply chain retired after 41 years of federal service.
