February Activities

DLMS Activity Report February 2025
Volume 2 Issue 2

We look forward to seeing you at the Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS) Summit planned for the week of April 28, 2025, in Tysons, Virginia.  Be on the lookout for information on registration and agenda items this month.  We will be posting information here.

NEW DATA QUALIFIER PROCESS CHANGE: As you are aware, when we develop and modify DLMS transactions we sometimes create new data qualifiers that must be approved by the X12 Accredited Standards Committee.  Historically, we could submit our qualifier suggestions through a rolling review and approval cadence.  However, as of January 2025, we can longer create our own new qualifiers and must request them from X12.  X12 will only process these reviews twice a year and we will only be able to finalize those impacted DLMS changes once approval is received.  Roughly speaking, this will impact 25% of our DLMS changes (~6-8 annually) and means we will only be able to finalize those specific ADCs twice a year.  If you have additional questions let us know!
