About DLA's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office

DLA's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office is a champion of equality and opportunity. EEO serves as the Agency's lead respondent and subject matter expert on all Equal Opportunity and Employment matters. Our office ensures agency-wide compliance with federal statutes, regulations, and executive orders. We provide guidance to Major Subordinate Command (MSC) EEO Offices in support of daily operations and advises Agency leadership on EEO related issues.

 

Daily operations are supported by three divisions:

Equal Employment Opportunity (DO)

DO develops and implements policies, programs and initiatives related to equal employment opportunities, and to reasonable accommodations of disabilities; prepares reports highlighting agency demographics and trends; and identifies and facilitates the elimination of work place barriers.

Complaints and Compliance (DO-C)

DO-C provides oversight for enterprise-wide EEO complaints process, including DLA’s EEO investigations; conducts EEO training and development for the DLA workforce and for DLA EEO practitioners; ensures compliance with agency EEO policies, instructions, and standard operating procedures; and prepares agency reports highlighting agency complaint trends.

Headquarters Operations (DO-S)

DO-S manages the EEO complaint and reasonable accommodation processes for Headquarters workforce; provides EEO services for Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC); provides EEO specific training; and manages the Headquarters Equal Employment Plan.
