Boggs Out- DLA Land and Maritime People and Culture Director Retires

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime People and Culture Director Robert L. Boggs, Ph.d, retired Dec. 11 after more than 48 years of combined civil and military service with the Department of Defense. Retiring as a director of a department within DLA Land and Maritime, Boggs held a variety of command and staff assignments during his military and civilian careers. His military career included a final assignment as the Deputy Adjutant General for the Ohio Air National Guard, and he also served more than four years as the Chief of Staff for the Ohio Air National Guard

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — While the Defense Logistics Agency has realized many savings for the Defense Department, effective cataloging has been its most consistent and reliable way of reducing expenditures. Until the agency received control of all DoD cataloging activities in the late 1990s, however, successful item identification depended on receiving complete and accurate information from the military services.

Toys for Tots donations at DLA Aviation in Richmond, Jacksonville reach close to 2,000

RICHMOND, VA — Marine Staff Sgt. Spencer Butler reflected on this season of giving as he collected two boxes overflowing with toys sitting in the front lobby of the DLA Aviation Operations Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, Dec. 16. Butler, a customer account specialist, Marine Corps Customer Facing Division, Customer Operations Directorate, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Richmond, Virginia, said a total of six boxes were placed around various locations on DLA Aviation as part of this year’s Toys for Tots campaign.
