Troop Support senior leaders discuss medical support as treatment facilities transition to DHA

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted the Defense Health Agency’s Air Force Maj. Gen. Lee Payne, Combat Support Agency assistant director, to discuss current support operations and plans as DHA assumes management and administration of military treatment facilities.

Hurricane Michael created an estimated 15 million pounds of scrap and more than 450 uninhabitable buildings at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. DLA Disposition Services personnel scrap disposal coordination at the installation may last as long as six months.

Hurricane recovery support ongoing at Tyndall AFB

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Area disposition personnel are putting in extra work to help Florida's Tyndall Air Force Base make the speediest recovery possible from the devastation of Hurricane Michael.
