Urgency drives DLA Puget Sound team in maintaining ballistic-missile submarines

The design of the Ohio-class submarine allows the vessel to operate 15 or more years between major overhauls. On average, the submarines spend 77 days at sea followed by only 35 days in-port for maintenance, creating urgency for on-shore personnel who must ensure the vessel is ready when called back to action.

C-130 parts delivered on time, every time by DLA Distribution Warner Robins

More than half the work completed at DLA Distribution Warner Robins, Ga., is in support of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center. The organization's inventory includes parts and equipment for F-15, C-130, C-5 and C-17 aircraft, target acquisition systems, and most airborne electronic warfare systems.

Warfighter Support Initiative brings DLA to the customers

The Defense Logistics Agency took to the road, traveling to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in support of the Warfighter Support Initiative, March 22-23. DLA employees from 11 divisions brought face-to-face engagement to the logistics community of Fort Bragg and other military installations, to educate and inform them about how to better use DLA’s services and capabilities.
