DSCC Police officers’ quick thinking saves a life

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency police officers tackle numerous calls supporting the Defense Supply Center Columbus on any given day. Most of those calls are fairly routine, but occasionally, officers face crisis situations inside and outside the gates.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Army personnel assigned to Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime participated for the first time in the new Army Combat Fitness Test Sept. 20 and 21 at the Defense Supply Center Columbus Fitness Center.

Defense Supply Center Columbus’ shoot house promotes police force readiness

COLUMBUS, Ohio — During the height of the pandemic while most of the workforce was operating under maximum telework, the Defense Supply Center Columbus completed upgrades to a new live-fire police training facility.

The light blue shallow water platforms of the Bahamas, which are separated by very deep dark blue channels, make for a striking scene. The Bahamas are one of the few regions where calcium carbonate precipitates directly out of the water, as the mineral aragonite, to form the coral reef islands.

Plastic is prolific in everyday life. Yet widespread use may ultimately impair environmental sustainability as these products find their ways into our oceans, lakes and rivers. The good news is that plastics that are disposed of properly largely avoid entering waterways and the food chain.
