DLA employees connect with Army Aviation mission during familiarization tour

RICHMOND, Va. — On Aug. 27, 21 Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employees got a firsthand look at the military operations they help sustain during a visit to the Virginia National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility, or AASF, in Sandston. The Procurement Process Support Directorate Culture Team designed the field trip to help underscore for them DLA Aviation’s critical role in ensuring mission success.

When it comes to giving back, the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Oklahoma City crew didn’t just vibe with the idea of a school supply drive – they ate and left no crumbs. On Aug. 9 they flexed their community rizz by organizing a donation that was on it, ensuring the students at Soldier Creek Elementary School in Midwest City, Oklahoma, are set to thrive this school year.

Aviation goes nuclear in support of warfighter readiness

RICHMOND, Va. — For the first time, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation hosted the agency’s Nuclear Enterprise Orientation Course (NEOC) at Defense Supply Center Richmond Aug. 27-28, 2024. The course marked a significant new step in DLA Aviation’s mission to support the warfighter by providing personnel with essential knowledge about nuclear operations.

DLA brings Air Force, industry together to keep T-38 Talons airworthy

RICHMOND, Va. — To address maintenance challenges of the T-38 Talon, a crucial trainer aircraft most Air Force pilots fly early in their careers, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation hosted a landmark collaborative forecasting event at its headquarters here Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 aimed at ensuring the right parts are available to T-38 maintainers – where and when they need them.
