Troop Support serves taste of home to military overseas for Thanksgiving

PHILADELPHIA — Service members around the world will have a taste of home this Thanksgiving, thanks to DLA Troop Support. More than 15,000 pounds of turkey and 1,854 pies have been provided in time for troops in Afghanistan to enjoy their holiday meals.

Subsistence field rep’s passion for produce drives customer support

PHILADELPHIA — Ken Wilmoth has worked with produce since he was a kid helping pull his parents’ produce cart. Now as a Subsistence field representative, he works directly with customers at military bases and schools to ensure they receive quality fresh fruit and vegetables.

Brig. Gen. Charles R. Hamilton, U.S. Army, commander DLA Troop Support was the key note speaker for the R & DA fall 2015 meeting Oct. 20 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Hamilton spoke about the future of military feeding, nutrition and strengthening partnerships with attendees.

Troop Support commander discusses future of military feeding, nutrition with industry partners

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey — Warfighters can’t get the food they need to accomplish their mission without the support of the food industry, DLA Troop Support’s commander said during a meeting Oct. 20 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
