DLA team marks Memorial Day in visit to WWI commemoration in France

Over the Memorial Day weekend, a group from DLA Europe and Africa traveled to Château-Thierry, France, to participate in the World War I Centennial Commemoration at the Aisne-Marne Cemetery.

Employees gather for joint celebration of Army birthday

McNamara Headquarters Complex tenant agencies celebrated the Army’s 242nd birthday June 13 in the HQC auditorium. This year’s theme, “Over There,” harks back to another commemoration – the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entry into World War I.

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Flags at U.S. government installations and facilities, including all Defense Logistics Agency facilities, are flying at half-staff until sunset Dec. 7 by order of President Barack Obama in honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
