DLA Disposition Services site increases ability to support customers with new equipment and training

The Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services uses a wide variety of material handling equipment to load and off-load trucks every day in support of warfighters. Having people trained on the MHEs is vital not only to complete the mission but to ensure it is done in a safe manner. Without trained operators, equipment sits idle; tasks go undone.

DLA supports SOUTHCOM pandemic response efforts

The Defense Logistics Agency is assisting U.S. Southern Command’s COVID-19 relief efforts in a number of countries in their area of responsibility through DoD’s Humanitarian Assistance Program, in addition to their ongoing support of national efforts. Since receiving the initial request on May 29, 2020, DLA Troop Support’s Construction and Equipment supply chain has provided 24 field hospitals to SOUTHCOM, who donated them to 11 countries within their AOR.
