With over 250 years of combined experience, DDYJ will feel the loss of these employee’s work ethic and efforts.

Yokosuka distribution center hosts training event for Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force officers

YOKOSUKA, Japan — DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan provided a training engagement for 28 Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force officers on DLA business concepts and the distribution center operations during a visit to the distribution center on June 11.

Saber Strike is an annual exercise conducted at various locations throughout Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with about 18,000 attendees from 19 different countries. This has been an annual exercise since 2010, however, it’s the first time DLA Reserve units have participated. DDSP’s Active Shooter Exercise tests installation fire department and police force, and community county crisis response teams

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — As soon as you step into the empty section of Building 54 on the Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, Pennsylvania installation, an eerie calm awaits you. This part of the building hasn’t been used since the occupants moved out in early May. There are empty offices and cubicles, and some of the left-behind furniture and equipment is in disarray – haphazardly laying here and there. The air inside is stagnant, very warm, and very humid.
