DLA Distribution Joint Reserve Senior Leader Conference

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — A group of military reservists newly assigned to leadership positions in the Defense Logistics Agency Joint Reserve Force (JRF) got a crash course in the agency’s mission, organization and operations at the 9th annual New Leaders Conference, held at DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pa., from Jan. 6 to 8.

Korea’s Lee finds fame through contest

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — Jenny Lee (이연주), a six-month local intern, has become a valuable member of the DLA Distribution Korea team. She is a recent college graduate and was selected from a pool of candidates in the Army supported intern program.

Distribution employees honored at annual DLA award ceremony

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — DLA director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch, along with Distribution’s deputy commander Twila Gonzales, Senior Executive Service, presented six Distribution employees with awards at the DLA 49th Annual Employee Recognition Program ceremony Dec 15. The program seeks to recognize outstanding performers in all segments of the DLA workforce.

NORFOLK, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Va., recently paused to promote two military personnel to the next higher rank. Both ceremonies were officiated by Navy Capt. Harry Thetford, commander of the distribution center.

The children enjoyed music, and snacks while they made Christmas cards to attach to the gifts, purchased by employees, to donate to the children who are patients at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University.
