Agency senior leader visits Bahrain

BAHRAIN — Defense Logistics Agency Senior Enlisted Leader Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin made a quick stop in Bahrain from Feb. 21 to Feb. 22 during his multi-country visit within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Earlier this month, DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, hosted its annual Forklift Rodeo. Spanning Feb. 9 through 12, the event consisted of a three-phase challenge: a 30-question written test, a timed demonstration course and a bonus round.

DLA Aviation seeks improved legacy support through additive manufacturing

RICHMOND, Virginia — Creating items in three dimensions instead of two is sometimes compared to creating a sculpture instead of a portrait. Even though we live in a 3D world, engineers were limited for many years to 2D drawings/sketches to communicate thoughts and ideas. Today with technological advances in additive manufacturing methods and other technologies, engineers can go directly from a 3D idea to a 3D object.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — The Defense Logistics Agency defines resiliency as dealing effectively with pressure, ambiguous and emerging conditions, and multiple tasks; remains optimistic and persistent, even under adversity or uncertainty. Simplified, resiliency is the ability to function really well in the face of adversity.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Air Force Master Sgt. Shanon Johnson is named DLA senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter, 1st Quarter 2016. Johnson earned this recognition in part through her role as an assistant B-1 weapon system program manager, serving an active role on the Air Force Supply Chain Working Group working diligently to ensure mission effectiveness, and for her volunteerism and leadership within the community with children, family, and wounded warriors.
