Troop Support Academy shows workforce their impact on warfighter

PHILADELPHIA — On a base with no tanks, ships or jets, and while tucked away in office cubicles, many Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees rarely encounter the military might they help provide.

USMC commandant sees DLA support of Marines during Philly visit

PHILADELPHIA — The Marine Corps’ highest-ranking officer visited DLA Troop Support Nov. 2 to learn more about the organization and how it supports America’s Marines.

DLA Energy Commander visits Australia, Pacific commands

AZUMA, Japan — Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Martin Chapin addressed the Australia Fuel Symposium as a guest of the Australian Defense Force Fuel Services Branch Oct. 25.

Since the official kick-off for the Combined Federal Campaign on Oct. 3, the Defense Logistics Agency has reached more than 30 percent of its fundraising goal of $315,000.

DLA, military brief clothing industry partners on warfighter support plans

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Defense Logistics Agency is able to provide uniforms and equipment to warfighters with the support of the Clothing and Textiles supply chain’s industry partners, the C&T director told those partners Oct. 19.

Troop Support Pacific provides mobile galley to Pearl Harbor sailors

PHILADELPHIA — A Navy submarine crew was one of the first to enjoy fresh meals served from a new mobile galley at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam that was purchased through DLA Troop Support.

Army Lt. Col. Debra Hernandez, the first nutritionist in the Subsistence supply chain, works in her DLA Troop Support office in Philadelphia. Hernandez, a registered dietitian, uses her more than 25 years of experience to analyze products’ ingredients and ensure they are meeting customer’s nutritional needs.

Food advisor adds nutritional value to Subsistence

PHILADELPHIA — Subsistence’s first nutritionist has helped DLA Troop Support offer healthier food items to military customers since arriving two years ago. Army Lt. Col. Debra Hernandez is a registered dietitian with more than 25 years of experience.

PHILADELPHIA — Shawn J. Jones is in his second week in DLA Troop Support's Corporate Communications office. While he's just beginning his DLA career, he's been with DLA for almost two decades.

Paul McCullough, a special projects officer in DLA Troop Support Construction and Equipment, shares his family’s various bouts with life-threatening illnesses and with the assistance they received through CFC charities. DLA Troop Support employees donated more than $136,000 to CFC in 2015.

Employees ‘show some love’ during CFC kickoff event

PHILADELPHIA — A survivor of domestic violence shared how a local charity helped her during DLA Troop Support’s Combined Federal Campaign kickoff event Oct. 13. CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign and DLA Troop Support employees donated more than $136,000 through CFC last year.

DLA Rapid Deployment Team leads agency in support for Haiti relief
