PHILADELPHIA — Employees from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Industrial Hardware supply chain acted as organization ambassadors, while learning more about the items they buy for warfighters at bicoastal industry engagement meetings. The IH cross-functional group of pre- and post-award acquisitions, technical/quality and supply specialists attended the International Fastener Expo Sept. 28-30 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Design-2-Part Show Oct. 23-24 in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

NATO partner tours DLA Energy petroleum lab

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — Representatives from the Netherlands Ministry of Defense visited DLA Energy Europe & Africa’s Petroleum Laboratory to learn about its fuel testing capabilities, Oct. 15. Leaders toured the Rhine Ordnance Barracks facility in Germany to gain a better understanding of how aviation and ground fuels are tested for quality and purity.

Subsistence, USDA partnership sets new high for schools receiving fresh produce

PHILADELPHIA — When the Department of Defense Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program started in 1995, school districts in only eight states signed on with the partnership effort. By the end of fiscal 2019, the DOD Fresh program has grown to include districts nationwide, reaching record numbers of participants at the start of this school year.
