DLA Energy observes Military Appreciation Month

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — May is Military Appreciation Month, and the workforce will have the opportunity to “remember” the warfighter. The workforce may take this time to show appreciation to military servicemembers, their victories and sacrifices.

U.S. Service members with the Joint Task Force 505 prepare boxes of aid and relief supplies to be loaded onto an aircraft at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal, May 14, in order for the supplies to be delivered to remote locations during Operation Sahayogi Haat. JTF 505 along with other multinational forces and humanitarian relief organizations are currently in Nepal providing aid after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country, April 25 and a 7.3 earthquake on May 12. DLA Aviation achieves Better Buying Power goal

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Strategic Acquisition Programs Directorate awarded a performance-based logistics contract to Boeing that provides a comprehensive framework to support most Boeing aviation platforms. PBL contracts are part of the Better Buying Power 3.0 initiative.

DLA Energy pre-proposal conference addresses new tool, requirements for suppliers

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Energy held a pre-proposal conference to discuss new tools and the opportunity for alternative fuels in the Rocky Mountain/West Coast/Offshore 2015 purchase program solicitation at the Hilton Springfield Hotel in Springfield, Virginia, April 29.
