Aviation soars - wins DLA Director’s Strategic Goal Awards

RICHMOND, Va. — Several Defense Logistics Agency Aviation associates were recognized with DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic’s Strategic Goals Award for the 2nd Quarter of Fiscal 2023. The award recognizes the measurable contributions made by teams, or individuals, toward achieving the goals set forth within the lines of effort of the director’s Strategic Plan.

DLA Energy celebrates career of former commander

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Air Force Brig. Gen. Jimmy “Vegas” Canlas celebrated his 30-year military career during a retirement ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex auditorium on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, June 30. In his final tour, Canlas served as the DLA Energy commander from June 2020 to June 2023.
