Lego model bridges gap in fuel systems training

One man’s passion for building with Lego is bridging a gap in fuel systems training for entry-level employees and students. Carl Drechsel, a DLA Energy project engineer, used the interlocking bricks, gears and minifigures to assemble a realistic model of a complete DOD fuel receipt and distribution system.

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center website — The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center is leading an $840 million effort to repair and replace fuel infrastructure at 83 Department of the Air Force installations.  Managed by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, the program is executing more than 200 fuel design and construction contracts that aim to preserve and modernize fuel assets.
