Aerospace Energy supports NASA’s Parker Solar Probe

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — The Aerospace Energy division of Defense Logistics Agency Energy provided the High Purity Hydrazine for NASA’s Parker Solar Probe mission which launched on a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy Rocket from the Kennedy Space Center, Aug. 12. On a journey to study the sun, the probe carried 178 pounds of HPH and the rocket carried almost 165 pounds of HPH in its upper stage.

Energy’s Air Force officer receives DLA award

Air Force Capt. Cynthia Rodriguez received the Defense Logistics Agency Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2018. Rodriguez is currently deployed as the DLA Energy Middle East liaison officer to Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve where she coordinates daily fuel delivery for eight sites in Iraq and Syria.

Wake Island: Trans-Pacific refueling

Employees required to abide by Hatch Act

DLA optimizes installation management

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — In early summer 2018, Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams rescinded a March 2017 change that separated DLA Installation Management and Installation Operations into distinct entities. The decision to “re-merge” the two offices to maintain the synergy, effectiveness and efficiency of having one Installation Management organization became effective August 6.
