Williams assumes responsibility as DLA director

Army Maj. Gen. (Promotable) Darrell Williams was promoted to lieutenant general and became the 19th director of the Defense Logistics Agency June 16 in a ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.

Employees gather for joint celebration of Army birthday

McNamara Headquarters Complex tenant agencies celebrated the Army’s 242nd birthday June 13 in the HQC auditorium. This year’s theme, “Over There,” harks back to another commemoration – the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entry into World War I.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District cut their procurement process time by 50 percent when they used the Construction and Equipment supply chain’s Maintenance, Repair and Operations program.

Army Corps of Engineers takes LEAP with DLA’s MRO program

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District cut its procurement time 50 percent by using DLA Troop Support's Maintenance, Repair and Operations program.

DLA helps educate Omani vendors on DoD contracting processes, opportunities

The Defense Logistics Agency joined the U.S. Embassy in Oman, U.S. Central Command and 40 Omani company representatives in the sultanate’s first ever defense-contracting workshop May 14-15 in the capital city of Muscat.

The Fort Polk Garrison Commander and Louisiana Congressional representatives attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for two newly constructed Wastewater Treatment Plants at Fort Polk, Louisiana, May 24. DLA Energy Utility Services provided the contract for the two WWTPs that will treat 6.4 million gallons of wastewater per day. This project will improve Fort Polk’s mission assurance and have a positive environmental impact for more than 50 years.

DLA Energy Utility Services contracts two Wastewater Treatment Plants at Fort Polk

FORT POLK, Louisiana — A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating two new and improved wastewater treatment plants was held to meet the growing needs of the Army Garrison Fort Polk installation, Louisiana, May 24.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Guy C. Beougher, former executive director of Defense Logistics Agency Operations (J3), assumed the role of DLA Energy deputy commander from acting deputy commander Gabby Earhardt May 30.
