Jimmy “Vegas” Canlas celebrated his 30-year military career during a retirement ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex auditorium on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, June 30. In his final tour, Canlas served as the DLA Energy commander from June 2020 to June 2023.

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — DLA Energy Americas North welcomed a new commander in a ceremony on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, July 10. Outgoing Commander Air Force Lt. Col. Bart Land handed over responsibility of the organization to Air Force Maj. Daniel Moritz.
