Employees celebrated the Army’s 247th birthday June 7 in the McNamara Headquarters Complex auditorium. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Tomeka O’Neal, Defense Logistics Agency senior enlisted leader, led the event.

DLA COVID-19 Task Force member wins Navy League logistics award

Navy Lt. Cmdr. Hugh Wilson is the winner of the Navy League’s Admiral Ben Moreell Award for Logistics Competence for his work with the Defense Logistics Agency’s COVID-19 Task Force. He will receive the award during the Navy League’s National Convention June 8-12 in Orlando, Florida. He is a joint logistics planner in DLA’s Agency Synchronization and Operations Center.

Farmers market returns to DLA

The weekly farmers market is making a comeback at the Defense Logistics Agency. Starting June 8, the market will be held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the front doors of the Headquarters Complex. The last farmers market for the season will be Oct. 19.
