NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Defense Logistics Agency Distribution’s newest whole of government partner is the Transportation Department’s Maritime Administration. Supporting MARAD’s fleet of five new state-of-the-art National Security Multi-Mission Vessels, slated for Merchant Marine training and humanitarian assistance, DLA Distribution will provide enduring parts storage and distribution services for more than 800 NSMV items.

Active shooter drill prepares workforce for worst case scenario

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — The Defense Logistics Agency held an active shooter drill Sept. 27 at its McNamara Headquarters Complex so employees could learn what to do if a shooting situation happened in the building.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Deployable Tactical Operating System (DTOS) communications units or Engineer Command and Control Vehicle from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District ECCV7 was pre-staged in Puerto Rico for rapid emergency response during Hurricane Season. Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Construction and Equipment supply chain recently awarded a contract that will provide the USACE with six new ECCVs with upgraded communications systems and military air transport capabilities.

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support's Construction and Equipment supply chain awarded an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for six DTOS emergency command and control vehicles worth approximately $9.7 million in July. Deliveries are scheduled to begin February 2024.
