FORT BELVOIR, Va. — In March 2014, six months before turning 40, Defense Logistics Agency Information Operations Management and Program Analyst Christina Panichelle saw her obstetrician and gynecologist for a routine visit resulting in a clean bill of health. Within a month, her then-boyfriend, now husband, found a lump.

DLA San Joaquin workforce spans multiple generations

TRACY, Calif. — Ever since its beginnings in 1942 as a part of the Army’s Quartermaster system, what is known today as Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin has had a countless number of employees make up the workforce over more than eight decades. As a major employer in the local area, it’s no surprise that many who have sought employment at DLA San Joaquin were influenced to apply by a family member who already worked here.

Commander’s Cup encourages exercise, teamwork

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management at Susquehanna’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Susquehanna’s fitness program closed their 2024 Commander’s Cup series with the Grand Finale Remembrance Day 10k run held Sept. 11.

DLA’s Futures Integrated Process Team hosted a future focused panel discussion to gain best practices and lessons learned from retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Clint Hinote and retired Marine Corps Brig. Gen. AJ Pasagian, who were both instrumental in moving their services forward.

Navy/DLA Service Integration Day address logistics challenges, share insights towards streamlined support

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Today's Navy leadership face the daunting task of delivering readiness and setting the global posture to support naval combat power in a contested logistics environment. To facilitate a more streamlined supply chain in the face of pacing adversarial threats, the Defense Logistics Agency director hosted a one-day annual seminar where senior navy leaders and their DLA civilian counterparts could discuss current supply, equipment and training issues impacting the fleet.
