DLA Distribution Tobyhanna welcomes new commander

TOBYHANNA, Pennsylvania — United States Army Lt. Col. John T. Turner Jr. assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Tobyhanna, Pa., in a ceremony May 21. The ceremony was officiated by DLA Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The program analysis master planning branch chief for Defense Logistics Agency Energy is leading the effort to implement a tablet- and desktop-based remote interpretive service for deaf employees across the agency.

Donna and Calvin Andrew, the parents of Nansi Malesic, an employee at the DLA Document Services White House production facility, pose for a picture with President Barack Obama in Utah. The Andrews met Obama after their daughter commented to members of the White House Office of the Staff Secretary that she could fly home when they went to Utah.

President surprises DLA employee’s parents

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Calvin and Donna Andrew, Utah residents and parents of DLA Document Services employee Nansi Malesic, got to meet the president thanks to some lighthearted banter between Malesic and members of the White House Office of the Staff Secretary.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Navigating the Defense Logistics Agency through an unknown future was the focus of DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch’s first address to the DLA Distribution workforce during a May 11 town hall in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

Susquehanna employees honored for saving the life of a teammate

SUSQUEHANNA, Pennsylvania — Following an act of selfless service and response to a coworker in distress, five employees at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, were honored for their actions on the day they saved the life of an employee in the Receiving Branch.

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Strategic Acquisition Programs Directorate awarded a performance-based logistics contract to Boeing that provides a comprehensive framework to support most Boeing aviation platforms. DLA Distribution Corpus Christi focuses on first aid training

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Several months ago, DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, determined there was a need to enhance its Automated External Defibrillator, or AED, program. With the goal of training all willing employees to be able to respond to the vast majority of medical incidents, both at work or at home, the organization had its safety specialists officially certified to pass lifesaving skills onto others.
